IBIZA, SPAIN

Updated: May 28, 2022

If I had to pick a favorite travel weekend of my semester abroad, it would be this one. All of the BC students that were still abroad in May all met up here together, and we had a packed schedule of partying all together the entire weekend.

Ibiza was one of our more expensive trips since the club cover fees were pricey and we got an actual hotel room so we could have access to a pool. This was such a fun weekend though, so it was all worth it in my opinion!

My one piece of advice would be to plan & book all club tickets in advance. You save so much time by not having to wait in lines, and it also makes for a more seamless weekend, especially if you go with a large group.

STAY

Aparthotel Vibra Jabeque Soul Sup

  • Really great hotel! All of the rooms were nice & it has a pool right on the waterfront; all of the rooms have views of the water too

  • The hotel staff called all of our taxis for us, which was really nice given that taxis can sometimes be far to find

La Bortola Guesthouse

  • We decided to come a night earlier than initially planned, so we just got a room at this hostel for that night

  • Private rooms but a shared bathroom; the entire hostel was really clean though, so the shared bathroom was not a big deal here

  • In a good location right in Ibiza Town

EATS

  • Ohana Ibiza - Great lunch spot right on the water; great sangria, paella, poke bowls, and more

  • Cafeteria Osiris Snack Bar - Right across the street from the hotel; the owners got to know us since we ate here so much for the convenience so this was a funny spot

  • Assaporami - This place was literally right across the street from our hotel & had several pizza-by-the-slice options

  • Prince - Had a solid selection of different tapas that were all really good; this place was right on the waterfront and was just a short walk from our hotel

  • Horizon - Came here for brunch; right on the waterfront so we had a pretty view while we ate; had classic breakfast options (egg plates, acai bowl, etc.)

  • JUNGLEBOWLS - Great bowls place just a block off of the water; we came here for brunch and it was really yummy

CLUBBING & NIGHTLIFE

Day

  • O Beach Ibiza - This was my favorite place we went out to in Ibiza! It's a big outdoor club with a pool in the middle; we had the best time here, definitely would recommend; Link here

  • Oceanbeat Boat Cruise - So much fun, but not sure if I would say it was worth the ticket price; that being said, there is an open bar on board that serves sangria (don't wear an all-white outfit like I did) & beer, and they had a live DJ with a champagne spray; a great way to spend the day outside & also on the water! Night

  • Pacha - Definitely so much better than the Pacha in Barcelona so don't let that deter you; some of my friends didn't love it here, but I had a great time so I would recommend it; it's also an iconic club in Ibiza - you'll see merch for it everywhere; Link here

  • Eden Ibiza - We all had such a fun night here; really big and played good music; Link here

  • Hï Ibiza - Apparently this is among the best clubs in the world and it was super fun - worth coming to! The whole night we went was ant-themed, so that was definitely interesting; this was a cool venue, and I really wish I had explored it more - my friends found all these different rooms and even a bathroom with a DJ in it; Link here
